Emotional learning through story

Complex inner experiences can become easier to talk about.

Children often experience strong emotions without understanding what is happening inside them. These stories can support them in understanding their feelings, needs and how to navigate big emotions.

Lara’s Adventures uses beautiful illustrations and playful metaphors to support children in recognising feelings, understand needs, navigate big feelings and become curious about another person’s perspective.

The books are designed to be read together, creating opportunities for conversation between children and adults.

The series

The children’s books are another expression of the same relational work.

Across my work, I am interested in the capacities that help people stay connected to themselves and to each other: noticing what is happening inside, understanding themselves, expressing needs and becoming curious about another person’s experience.

With Lara’s Adventures, those ideas become stories that children and adults can explore together.
