A wider view of relationship

How we relate shapes how we experience life.

The Art of Relating looks beyond communication techniques and asks a more fundamental question: what helps us meet ourselves, other people and life with presence, authenticity and freedom?

The book brings together psychological insights and embodied practices. It explores the moments where our automatic reactions might narrow our choices and the practices that can help us come back into contact with ourselves.

Rather than offering a formula for perfect relationships, it invites an ongoing practice of noticing, choosing and participating more consciously.

Three relationships

The book moves through three connected dimensions.

01

Relationship with yourself

Self-compassion, needs, healthy anger, bodily awareness and the way you respond to your own inner experience.

02

Relationship with others

Empathy, transforming conflict, conscious communication and the courage to share yourself authentically while staying in contact with the other.

03

Relationship with life

Awe, play, trust and participating in life with openness and curiosity.

Who it is for

For people who want to deepen their connection with themselves, others and life.

You want to understand your own patterns better.
You want to express needs and boundaries while staying connected to other people.
You are interested in the relationship between psychology, embodiment and everyday life.
You want practical ways to cultivate more presence, compassion, trust and choice.
Writing and practice

The same thread runs through my books, coaching and facilitation.

I am interested in how greater authenticity, inner freedom and joy can become available as we deepen our relationship with ourselves, each other and life. What especially motivates me is translating sometimes complex approaches into simple language and practices, so that these fundamental skills become easily accessible.

This exploration shapes my work with individuals, couples and groups, and it is also a central thread in this book. Writing gives me another way to share these ideas beyond the coaching room.
